Welcome to the North Carolina Government Finance Officers Association (NCGFOA) Fall Conference held at the Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort.
We are excited to continue our tradition of offering a quality educational component for CPE hours as well as informational training to our membership. Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran, please remember that this is YOUR Association. We encourage you to get involved.

What is the cost of registration?
*NCGFOA requires membership of the association in order to register for conference. If you need to update your membership dues, please contact Karen Waddell.
**Registration costs are subject to increase after the registration cutoff date of October 17, 2025.
Are there specific parking instructions?
Free valet and self-parking are included in the resort fee ($34.99 per night) that will automatically be added to your hotel room total.
How much does a hotel room cost?
Friday & Saturday night = $129 per night
Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday night = $79 per night
*Note: A daily resort fee of $34.99 per room, per night plus tax will be charged to your hotel room reservation.
What is the hotel reservation deadline?
The reservation deadline to book a hotel room within the conference room block is October 17th. However, please note that once the hotel room block fills up, we cannot guarantee a room at the advertised room block rate.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
You must contact Taylor Bee by October 17th to receive a refund. All cancellations made after October 17th are non-refundable.
Yes, you may bring a guest but they must be registered in order to attend any conference receptions. The guest registration is $50 and includes the Sunday and Monday night receptions.
What does the resort fee include?
Do I have to be a member of NCGFOA to attend the conference?
Yes. The NCGFOA requires membership of the association to attend conferences. If you are a government finance officer, you will need to obtain an active membership. If you are not a government finance officer but would still like to attend conference, you will need to obtain an associate membership. Please contact Karen Waddell for all membership questions.
Sunday, November 16th
Enjoy a round of golf at Sequoyah National Golf Club for just $75! You can register for golf as part of your overall conference sign-up. Please note, this is not an official tournament—just a great chance to play a discounted round with fellow conference attendees.
Tee times will begin at 10:20 AM, with additional groups starting every 10 minutes thereafter. You will have the opportunity to select a tee time after conference registration has closed.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?
The Association must receive written cancellation of your sponsorship by October 17, 2025 to be eligible for a refund. Sponsorships cancelled after October 17, 2025 are nonrefundable. Please contact Taylor Bee if you need to cancel.

Will I receive a list of attendees prior to conference?
An attendee list, including name and local government units, will be available one week out from the conference. It will be posted on the NCGFOA guidebook app and included in the Know Before You Go email.
What are the set-up and tear-down times?
Vendors can set up their booth on Sunday, November 16th 1:00-4:00PM and tear down on Tuesday, November 18th after 2:00PM.

What is included at the booth space in the exhibit hall?
How much does it cost to add an additional representative?
It is $500 per person outside of the allotted complimentary registrations for your sponsorship level. Swapping out representatives per day under one registration is not permitted.
What should I do with my door prize?
If you would like to announce your door prize winner from the stage on Tuesday afternoon at the conclusion of the general session, please let the registration desk staff know by Tuesday morning.
All booth numbers will be assigned by the NCGFOA board of directors. The sponsor representatives will receive their booth assignments onsite upon conference check-in.
Do I have to be a member of NCGFOA to sponsor the conference?
No. If you would like to sponsor the conference you do not have to be an associate member of NCGFOA. However, if you would simply like to attend the conference without sponsorship and you are not a government finance officer, an associate membership of NCGFOA is required.
