Welcome to the North Carolina Government Finance Officers Association (NCGFOA) Fall Conference held at the Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort.

We are excited to continue our tradition of offering a quality educational component for CPE hours as well as informational training to our membership. Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran, please remember that this is YOUR Association. We encourage you to get involved. 

This conference serves as a fantastic opportunity to gather, exchange ideas, and collaborate with your peers. Please enjoy the NCGFOA Summer Conference here in Wilmington!  Your attendance shows your commitment to making a positive difference to our profession and your communities! 

  • Active member - $300
  • Associate member - $750
  • Guest/spouse - $50

*NCGFOA requires membership of the association in order to register for conference. If you need to update your membership dues, please contact Karen Waddell.

**Registration costs are subject to increase after the registration cutoff date of October 17, 2025.

Free valet and self-parking are included in the resort fee ($34.99 per night) that will automatically be added to your hotel room total.

Friday & Saturday night = $129 per night

Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday night = $79 per night

*Note: A daily resort fee of $34.99 per room, per night plus tax will be charged to your hotel room reservation.

The reservation deadline to book a hotel room within the conference room block is October 17th. However, please note that once the hotel room block fills up, we cannot guarantee a room at the advertised room block rate.

You must contact Taylor Bee by October 17th to receive a refund. All cancellations made after October 17th are non-refundable.

Yes. The NCGFOA requires membership of the association to attend conference. If you are a government finance officer, you will need to obtain an active membership. If you are not a government finance officer but would still like to attend conference, you will need to obtain an associate membership. Please contact Karen Waddell for all membership questions. 

Join Us for the Sunset River Cruise!

Sunday, July 20th or Monday, July 21st @ 8:00PM

Pre-registration is required, and space is limited. You can register for either of the boat cruises when registering for the overall conference.

The boat will leave from the dock near the Embassy Suites and the Convention Center. Spouses and guests are welcome to join, but they must be registered.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Registration deadline is October 17, 2025.

The Association must receive written cancellation of your sponsorship by October 17, 2025 to be eligible for a refund. Sponsorships cancelled after October 17, 2025 are nonrefundable. Please contact Taylor Bee if you need to cancel.

The reservation deadline to book a hotel room within the conference room block is October 17th. However, please note that once the hotel room block fills up, we cannot guarantee a room at the advertised room block rate.

An attendee list, including name and local government units, will be available one week out from the conference. It will be posted on the NCGFOA guidebook app and included in the Know Before You Go email.

Vendors can set up their booth on Sunday, November 16th [X -X]PM and tear down on Tuesday, November 18th [X -X]PM.

It is $500 per person outside of the allotted complimentary registrations for your sponsorship level. Swapping out representatives per day under one registration is not permitted.

If you would like to announce your door prize winner from the stage on Tuesday afternoon at the conclusion of the general session, please let the registration desk staff know by Tuesday morning. 

All booth numbers will be assigned by the NCGFOA board of directors. The sponsor representatives will receive their booth assignments onsite upon conference check-in.

No. If you would like to sponsor the conference you do not have to be an associate member of NCGFOA. However, if you would simply like to attend the conference without sponsorship and you are not a government finance officer, an associate membership of NCGFOA is required.
