Welcome to the North Carolina Government Finance Officers Association (NCGFOA) Fall Conference held at the Renaissance Asheville.

We are excited to continue our tradition of offering a quality educational component for CPE hours as well as informational training to our membership. Whether you are a newcomer or a veteran, please remember that this is YOUR Association. We encourage you to get involved. 

This conference serves as a fantastic opportunity to gather, exchange ideas, and collaborate with your peers. Your attendance shows your commitment to making a positive difference to our profession and your communities!

Parking for overnight guests is discounted to $10 per car, per night. This charge will go directly on the guest room charges. Individuals who drive in for the day and park in the lot will be charged at $15 per day.

You must contact NCLM events by October 26th to receive a refund. All cancellations made after October 26th are non-refundable.

Yes, you may bring a guest but they must be registered in order to attend any conference receptions. The guest registration is $50 and includes the Sunday and Monday night receptions.

Yes. The NCGFOA requires membership of the association to attend conferences. If you are a government finance officer, you will need to obtain an active membership. If you are not a government finance officer but would still like to attend conference, you will need to obtain an associate membership. Please contact Lauren York for all membership questions. 

Sponsorship Opportunities

Registration deadline is October 26th.

The Association must receive written cancellation of your sponsorship by October 26, 2026 to be eligible for a refund. Sponsorships cancelled after October 26, 2026 are nonrefundable. Please contact Taylor Bee if you need to cancel.

The reservation deadline to book a hotel room within the conference room block is October 26th. However, please note that once the hotel room block fills up, we cannot guarantee a room at the advertised room block rate.

An attendee list, including name and local government units, will be available one week out from the conference. It will be posted on the NCGFOA guidebook app and included in the Know Before You Go email.

Vendors can set up their booth on Sunday, November 15th 1:00-4:00PM and tear down on Tuesday, November 17th after 2:00PM.

It is $500 per person outside of the allotted complimentary registrations for your sponsorship level. Swapping out representatives per day under one registration is not permitted.

If you would like to announce your door prize winner from the stage on Tuesday afternoon at the conclusion of the general session, please let the registration desk staff know by Tuesday morning. 

All booth numbers will be assigned by the NCGFOA board of directors. The sponsor representatives will receive their booth assignments onsite upon conference check-in.

No. If you would like to sponsor the conference you do not have to be an associate member of NCGFOA. However, if you would simply like to attend the conference without sponsorship and you are not a government finance officer, an associate membership of NCGFOA is required. Please contact Lauren York for all membership questions. 

The NC League of Municipalities is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.  State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.  Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its web site: www.nasbaregistry.org.
